- Great day at Lifesong church… I really do love this time of the year.
- Wrapped up our Crazy series and talked about the Mystery of Christmas. Some highlights of the message were…
- When you understand the Mystery of Christmas you can experience genuine love.
- Knowing ABOUT God’s love and EXPERIENCING it are two different things.
- When you understand the mystery of Christmas you can experience real peace.
- Peace with God, peace with others (who needs that at Christmas
) and peace with ourselves. - When you understand the mystery of Christmas you can have real purpose.
- Our ULTIMATE purpose is to KNOW God… the whole CRAZY Christmas story is about this ONE thing.
- The band did an INCREDIBLE job this morning… they surprised me with our version of “Silent Night.”
- I am so proud of Lifesong… the Blessing Tree was COVERED in present for the six families that we adopted. Hearing some of the stories from those who made deliveries was awesome.
- Several more gave to our Crazy Love offering today. You can continue to give through January 3rd. We are still short of our $10,000 goal, but I BELIEVE that we will make it! Have YOU given your best?
- NO SERVICE next Sunday… if you show up at the theater you will be very lonely
… going to give ALL of INCREDIBLE volunteers a day off. - I love you guys… have a blessed time this Christmas!

sunday night thoughts…
- Is it Summer yet? Cold and rainy are NOT my favorite things. Thank you Lord for allowing the rain to stop long enough to load in and then stop AGAIN to load out this morning!
- Once again the volunteers of Lifesong ROCKED… the Post Office ain’t got nothing on a Lifesong volunteer… Rain, sleet, snow, and ice, nothing can keep us from getting the job done.
- Week three of Crazy, used Matthew chapter 2 to talk about Crazy Generosity. Some highlights of the MESSAGE were…
- When you are Crazy Generous you give joyfully.
- It is a blessing to give… pretty sure I heard that some PLACE before.
- When you give you will be blessed. You can NOT get past the PRINCIPLE of sowing and reaping.
- When you are Crazy Generous you give extravagantly… Crazy Love causes you to go over the top.
- WHen you are Crazy Generous you give your best.
- We will ALWAYS find money to fund our priorities.
- Giving is not a matter of finances it is a matter of the HEART.
- Proud of you guys and what you have done with the Blessing Tree! All the ornaments are GONE. Remember, we deliver NEXT Sunday.
- Crazy Love offering continues through January 3rd… make sure you give your BEST to Christ this Christmas. You can even give ONLINE.
- Had a chance to hang out with the Leadership Team last night for our little Christmas get together…. Love the people that I get to work with and it was great to have a chance to bless them back! I even learned what osso bucco was

- Week two of “Crazy.” Talked about the first people who missed Christmas. Some highlights of the message were…
- The Innkeeper missed Jesus not because he was a bad guy he was just too busy and focused on the wrong things.
- Sometimes we have to give up the good things in order to experience the best things.
- Herod missed Jesus because he was afraid of losing his kingdom. No one would be king but him.
- Many want Jesus as a resource, or a friend, but nor Lord… uh, that’s a problem (read Romans 10:9)
- The religious leaders missed Jesus because they were indifferent and wouldn’t even walk the two miles to see if the prophecy was coming true.
- How many of us have grown accustomed to the presence of Jesus and lost our sense of wonder.
- Several more tags were taken today from the Blessing Tree and several gift ALREADY brought in. Remember you have until December 20th to bring them in.
- Pumped about the kick off of our “Crazy Love” offering… expecting God to do BIG things!
- It was COLD this morning… even saw a microphone koozie today. Our Production Team is the best
- Took a four-hour nap this afternoon… it was awesome

sunday night thoughts…
- Kicked off our “Crazy” series today and used Joseph to talk about the craziness of life and what happens when God changes our plans. Some highlights of the MESSAGE were…
- Our best laid plans are subject to get interrupted and that is sometimes NOT a bad thing. Joseph was content to be a small town carpenter but instead became the Dad of Jesus.
- Joseph had a crazy devotion to God in order to follow God’s plan.
- Following God’s plans is NOT easy… it will always cost you something.
- When Jesus shows up things get turned upside down. It happened with Joseph and it will happen to you.
- I really struggled with the message today… no ones fault but my own. Some days you have “it” and some days you don’t…
- Really proud of you guys for getting so many ornaments off the blessing tree today. Six families from 2 elemtary schools WILL be blown away by the love of Jesus this Christmas because of you. There are still several ornaments left and you can bring the presents (Wrapped and TAGGED) up until December 20th.
- Forgot to mention that we are partnering with the City of Griffin for the lighting of Downtown this Thursday starting at 6 pm.
- We shared about our Crazy Love Special Offering this morning… be looking for more info this week in the mail. We have set a goal of $10,000 and I can not wait to see what God is going to do during this challenge!
- We just finished getting our Christmas decorations up… don’t tell anyone but I really do like decorating for Christmas
- Oh… forgot to mention but I really enjoyed watching TWO un-ranked SEC teams beat up on the two ACC championship contenders. GO DAWGS!!!

sunday night thoughts…
- Good day at Lifesong church… the weather sucked but it was a good day overall.
- This was absolutely the WORST weather that we have had to set up in since we started and the volunteers took it in stride and got everything knocked out… you guys ROCK!
- The band did an incredible job leading us in worship today… so thankful for a band that loved Jesus more than they love music. Don’t get me wrong, I will put the Lifesong band up against ANYBODY, but there heart for Jesus is what sets them apart.
- Had my good friend Kevin preach today… really appreciate him filling in today. He wrapped up our “Prayer” series… check out the podcast of you missed the message.
- Having you gather around and pray for Tammy and I today meant more than you can know… I am so honored and humbled to be your pastor.
- Did I mention that the weather SUCKED??? Still amazed at the attitude of the set-up teams!
- Looking forward to starting our new series Crazy next week… going to be a great series if I say so myself
- Had a first today… Jeremy (new drummer dude) threw one of his drumsticks about three rows deep during one of the songs and he didn’t miss a beat… seriously one of the coolest things I have seen (well, except for ninja Brian the sound guy low crawling to get it DURING the service
) - Several of you have already taken tags for the families… we will have the tree up next week and you can get the rest. We have adopted SIX families this year… let’s be the CHURCH to these folks this Christmas.

Sunday night thoughts…
- Awesome day at Lifesong church!
- Three people indicated that they entered into a relationship with Christ! That NEVER gets old!
- The band freakin’ ROCKED today… Chris “Stormin” Norman nailed it on “We Stand.” We are really blessed with an amazing group of musicians but even more blessed to be led in worship by a group of people really chasing after God.
- Great crowd… loved how rowdy you were
- The Rhodies never cease to amaze me… I rolled in to the theater today at 8:40 and pretty much EVERYTHING was DONE… VERY COOL!
- Week two of our “Prayer” series. Talked about what matters to God when we pray. Some highlights of the MESSAGE were…
- Our motives matter to God when we pray.
- James 5:16
- There is a connection between our FAITH and God’s willingness to answer our prayers (James 1:6-7).
- God’s will matters… there is a way to have EVERY prayer answered with YES from God. Have your WILL lined up with God’s.
- Prayer is an issue of trust and reveals how big your view of God is.
- Our earthly relationships matter to God and, on some level, effect our prayer life.
- Really some GREAT things going on right now… God is on the move.
- Had a GREAT date with my wife last night. Ate at Carabba’s and watched the movie “Couples Retreat.” Dinner was awesome (not so much this morning) the movie was funny (uncomfortably so) and dessert was none of your business

Sunday night thoughts…
- Solid day at Llifesong church… good to see some “old” faces back with us today.
- The “Rhodies” did an awesome job (again) today… set up was incredibly fast!
- Lifesong volunteers are the best on the planet… I am not joking! I am honored to be your pastor!
- The band did a good job today… great to have Mark playing today!
- That is three points in a row that ended with an exclamation point!
- Kicked off our new series “Prayer” today. Some highlights of the MESSAGE were…
- We tend to try to put prayer in a box when it is so much more.
- There are only two ways that the Bible says NOT to pray… Read Matthew 6:5-7.
- God is big enough to handle our doubts and honesty. There is NOTHING that we pray that will surprise Him.
- Get creative in your prayer life.
- If it matters to you it matters to God. Take EVERYTHING to Him is prayer.
- We talk more than we listen. I believe that God speaks to us but we are either to busy (and loud) to hear or we wont listen because we are afraid of what He will say.
- Went “shootin’” with several guys after church… I am pretty sure that the peeps of Lifesong could pretty much hang with the military of most third world countries (including France).

sunday night thoughts…
- Great day at Lifesong… really a good vibe going right now.
- Wrapped up “Say What” today and talked about carrying your cross using Matthew 5. Some highlights of the MESSAGE were…
- Thank you for being a generous church… we had our highest offering in three months. Ministry takes money and one sign of a healthy church is the generosity of the people.
- Had someone bring me a KISS shirt from their concert… yep, pretty sure no other pastor got one of those this morning
- Looking forward to starting our new series, Prayer next week. It’s about, well, ummmmm… prayer.
- Had a blast at Life Group tonight. Made chili… it might be a long night

sunday night thoughts…
- Great day at Lifesong church… hard to belive that we are two years old!
- Week three of our “Say What” series… Spoke from Luke chapter 7 and talked about what it takes to be the church that Jesus wants to build. Some highlights of the MESSAGE were…
- The ONLY institution that Jesus ever promised to build was the church because the church is the hope of the world.
- If the church ever looses its passion for Jesus it looses its ability to make an impact for the Kingdom.
- In order to be the church that Jesus wants to build we must walk with Jesus, regardless of where He goes.
- Do we anticipate Jesus to do the impossible?
- When you listen to Jesus sometimes He tells us to do some (seemingly) ridiculous things.
- God always calls us to unfair fights… the reason that many churches are not forcefully advancing the Kingdom is because we are afraid to attempt the impossible when Jesus tells us to.
- The best days of the church are ahead!
- The band did an incredible job today. I am really proud of them and their commitment to not play of safe and work to go to the next level.
- Set up teams did great today – so fast that they had time to take a union coffee break
- We had a great time Thursday night partnering with Beaverbrook Elementary for their Fall Festival. Proud of Lifesong for going out and making a difference.
- Beaverbrook gave me a bullhorn… I like bullhorns
- That’s it, gotta go watch the Falcons beat up on the Cowboys.

sunday night thoughts…
- Week two of our “Say What” series. We talked about worry. Some highlights of the message were…
- Jesus understands that worry doesnt accomplish anything.
- Not worrying does not equal not taking action.
- We tend to worry about the wrong things… Matthew 6:31-33 pretty much sums it up
- Difficult times will either draw you closer to God or farther away… the choice is yours.
- Worry can be a great catalyst for spiritual growth.
- The band did an “unplugged” set today and did a good job… got to be honest and say that I like the plugged in melt your face off version better though
- Just finished up with our life group. Lots of fun! If you have not gotten plugged in to one, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Send greg@lifesonglive.com an email to get set up.
- It’s hard to believe that Lifesong turns two this coming week… what a great (and crazy) ride it had been and we are just getting started!
