Friday five…

Random things running through my mind…

• I am so glad that the election season is OVER.  No more political commercials… YES!!! (CRAP… just saw commercials for the senate run-off… never mind)
• Trying to get better at planning ahead and getting ahead… working this week to have sermon prep done for the rest of the month… TRYING 😉
• I am praying for those of you going through difficult financial times.  Just yesterday, I spoke with a person who are getting layed off, another who is facing TREMENDOUS stress in their small business, another church pastor who’s church is struggling financially and a family member that cant pay their bills because of their hours being cut back.
• Emma, my four year old daughter, informed me that she has changed her name to “Magenta.”  Should I be worried that that sounds like a stripper name?
• Looking forward to our new series that starts this Sunday, “God is…”, its going to be GOOD!

Sunday night thoughts…

• Strange vibe today during service… cant put my finger on it, but it was tough.
• We had the chance to dedicate two babies today… Ian and Alyssa.  I like babies.
• Another day with really strong attendance… I think we will be “officially” through a very big growth barrier soon.
• Several first time guests today… I like first time guests.
• We had a blast Saturday night for our volunteer appreciation party… I laughed so much that my face hurt and the 70’s costumes were unreal (I will post some pictures later).  We have the BEST volunteers on the planet and it was great to be able to give BACK to them.  I love you guys!
• I decided that my wife is really HOT in fake pink eyelashes 😉
• Several of you signed up to help out with our Madagascar 2 movie premier party next Saturday from 11-3, but we can use more help!  We are providing a giant slide, face painting, handing out balloons and running a dance-off… send an email to mark@lifesonglive.com to sign up.
• Kind of bummed… I am missing my annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach this week, just too much to do.  I needed to give the other guys a chance to bring the trophy home anyways.
