Pray for the Message.  Lets BEG God to move in the hearts of those who will be in the service Sunday.  Pray for lives to be changed and for ALL of us to take a step in our walk with Him.

Day three of the fast.  Stay focused and continue to BEG God to speak during this week.  Today’s prayer point…

• Pray for EVERY Lifesonger to have the chance (and the courage) to INVITE someone to the Song this Sunday.  Lets NOT miss this awesome opportunity to make an IMPACT for the Kingdom… we are doing all we can to make this service special and we are trusting God to do the SUPERNATURAL so lets do all we can to get people there!

Monday prayer point…

Day two of the fast.  I am praying for you… if you are fasting from food, the second and third days are the toughest.  Today’s prayers point:

• Pray for our sister churches in our community.  We are just a small part in the body of Christ and in order to see a true KINGDOM IMPACT it will take ALL of us.  Do a Google search for “Griffin Area Churches” and pray for them by name.  If you feel compelled, send them an email or a card and let them know that you are praying for them today.

sunday night thoughts…

• Good day at Lifesong church… not great but good.
• Wrapped up “Money Matters” and talked about developing an eye for generosity.  Some highlights of the message were…
  • The principle of Sewing and Reaping CAN NOT be changed (Luke 6:38).  Satan can’t stop the blessing of God, but he can mess with our understanding of them.
  • PRIDE and SHAME are two ways that we wrongly respond to God’s blessing us financially.
  • Financial blessings are the ONLY ones that many of us are ashamed of.
  • God blessed us for a purpose… to be GENEROUS and make an IMPACT for His Kingdom. (2 Corinthians 9:11)
  • The ONLY way to develop and EYE for generosity is to be INTENTIONAL about it.
  • There are three types of givers… Spontaneous (give when they see a need), Strategic (Isaiah 32:8), and the freaks, the SACRIFICIAL givers.  WHO are you?
• Lots of folks out (some sick, PRAYING for you)… really missed you guys today!
• Very proud of Lifesong church for the Kingdom IMPACT you made on Wednesday at Mission Forrest Park… ten of you made a sacrifice and SERVED the less fortunate and MANY of you gave shoes and socks.  Way to BE the Church!
• FOUR people stepped over the LINE of FAITH Thursday and entered into a relationship with Christ!
• Many of you indicated that you would be FASTING this week as we head into EASTER…  I am praying for God to do AMAZING things in you!
• Remember to INVITE someone to church this week… Easter is a time when folks are more inclined to come.  Make the ASK!
• Can’t wait till this Sunday and the new series, Story… God will use this to CHANGE lives.
• For those of you fasting.  Today’s PRAYER POINT is to lift up EACH OTHER.  Pray for your other Lifesongers who are going through the fast and for God to SPEAK during the time.

• Great day at Lifesong church… even with the rain.
• Week two of “Money Matters” talked about hoe God is putting us to the test with our wealth. Some highlights of the message were…
  • Some of us do not think we are wealthy… if you live in the United States that ALONE makes.
  • God is testing you in the area of your wealth… will you trust HIM or your MONEY.
  • For some, money is a counterfeit god because it PROMISES the things that only GOD can PROVIDE.
  • The way to pass the test is to have a GENEROUS heart… giving is the antidote to greed.
  • When we are generous it gives us the right focus and the proper perspective.
• I know that the podcast has been down lately, but we should have all the MESSAGES up this week.
• The band did an AWESOME job leading worship today… really enjoyed sitting out front!
• Melanie is needing to step down for a while for some crazy reason… like she is about to have a baby ;-).  Really going to miss having her up on stage every week.
• LOTS of kids running around Lifesong today… VERY COOL!
• We had a blast Saturday night honoring all the volunteers at our 80’s VIP party.  I saw more big hair and make-up than I thought was possible… and that was just the GUYS!
• Every church planter/pastor say this but we have the GREATEST volunteers on the face of the planet… and our volunteers could beat up your volunteers 😉
• I decided that my wife looks hot with big hair and blue eyeshadow.
• Easter is less than two weeks away.  Begin praying and inviting NOW!

• Kicked off our new series Money Matters. Some highlights of the message were…
  • The Bible has more than 2000 verses that deal with money and possessions and half the parables of Jesus deal with it… Money Matters!
  • How you handle your money reveals your level of obedience.  You CAN NOT say that you are a fully devoted follower of Jesus and not have surrendered your finances.
  • The Bible is clear that God wants His kids to take care of His House first.
  • How you handle your money reveals the condition of your heart.  See Matthew 6:19-21
  • Jesus understood that for most of us, money and stuff will be the greatest competitor for our heart.
  • Yep… I talked about “rasslin” and Rick Flair to make that point… listen to the PODCAST to find out why 😉
  • Over and over in the Bible GIVING is seen as an act of WORSHIP.
  • How you handle your money reveals the size of your faith.
  • It’s amazing to me how many Christians will trust God with their ETERNITIES but not their finances.
  • The person who claims to walk with God but has not surrendered their finances will always walk with a limp.
  • God doesn’t need your money, but you need His blessings… Malachi 3:10
• Many pastors seem to apologize when they talk about money… I refuse to do that.  If Jesus talked about it more than any other subject its good enough for me.
• With that said, I feel like I dropped the ball with the message today… just couldnt get in the grove for some reason.
• Lifesong Kids looked and SOUNDED great… loved the decoration for their new series!
• I enjoyed sitting out in the crowd today and really having a chance to worship with the band today!
• Really proud of everyone who has brought in shoes and socks for our IMPACT event… you guys are the best.
• Looking forward to our VIP party this Saturday for our Lifesong volunteers.  We are going to have a GREAT night celebrating what God is doing and thank you for all your hard work.

sunday night thoughts…

• Great day at Lifesong… awesome attendance even on a race weekend.
• Finished up our “Break Free” series and talked about worry.  Some highlights of the message were…
  • Worry is the only SIN that Christians make each other feel good about.
  • Worry is the sin of DISTRUSTING the power and the promises of God.
  • To break free from worry you must DO what God asks you to do.
  • I must give God the things that I can not control.
  • No matter what happens, I will TRUST Him
  • I have walked with God through enough YESTERDAYS to trust Him with my tomorrow… even if I don’t understand.
• LOTS of kids with us today… very cool.
• Much thanks to the peeps that stayed late and helped load-out the worship theater.
• Really enjoyed spending this past Thursday with several of our awesome volunteers at the UNLEASH conference… next year we will take 20 and REALLY make some noise.
• Pumped about our V.I.P party for the Lifesong volunteers coming up on March 20th… really looking forward to getting the chance to show you guys how much the staff and I APPRECIATE everything you do!
