Friday five…

Five questions that I am wrestling with right now…

1. Am I investing my life to bring Him glory or me?
2. Do people see me as a good leader or a GODLY leader worthy of following?
3. Am I focused more or growing Lifesong church or growing in my relationship with Jesus?  How much effort am I putting into my spiritual growth?
4. Is Jesus enough for me?
5. Am I willing to sacrifice my dreams/plans for His?

who are you…

When you read the Bible and look at the people that were around Jesus, you see three different groups…

• Those who wanted to be around Jesus for what they could GET from Him.
• Those who wanted to FOLLOW Jesus as long as the price was right.
• Those who DIED to themselves and SACRIFICED everything to be close to Him.

Our church (every church) has similar groups…

• Those who CONSUME… they never GIVE… never GET INVOLVED… all they do is TAKE.
• Those who CONTRIBUTE as long as its not an INCONVENIENCE.
• Those who are SOLD OUT to the VISION and will DO WHAT IT TAKES to see it accomplished.

So… who are you?

Sunday night thoughts…

• Really good day today… considering the weather forecast, we had an awesome attendance.
• The band was incredible today… you guys seriously nailed it today.  I really dug the new song Jenny picked out today.
• God answers prayer (DUH)… he kept the worst of the weather away until after load out!
• Today message seemed to connect with you… I am really going to enjoy preaching this series.  You DO NOT want to miss next weeks question!
• Jason did another great job with the video (and blooper real)… fuzzy navel will forever have a new meaning to me 😉
• Had a blast yesterday at date night… saw some great whirlyball played (some of you are RUTHLESS)  and ate (too much) some awesome food at Mary Mac’s.  I really get fired up seeing you guys connect OUTSIDE of Sunday morning.
• Thank you for being faithful in you giving.  Many churches (especially new church starts) are struggling… but YOU understand the IMPACT that Lifesong is making in this community and you giving PROVES that.
• Had fun playing with the kids in the snow… snow angels, snow men… and snow ball fights… priceless!
