sunday night thoughts…

  • Absolutely incredible day at Lifesong church
  • TWO people gave their lives to Christ today… THAT is why we do what we do!
  • Mother’s Day is usually a down day for us because we have so many who visit with their Mom’s, but we had a great crowd today.
  • We had some serious tech problems today (Projector went out, bad cables, you name it) but the Production team (with one new guy and one “old” hand” really pulled it out… very proud of them!
  • Kicked off “The Vow” today and talked about making the vow to make our marriages a priority.  Some highlights of the message were…
    • Many have difficulties in their marriage because they never face the realities of marriage.  We have unrealistic expectations, we underestimate our differences and harbor un-forgiveness.
    • You must make the vow to take responsibility for your marriage.  It takes work and dedication to make them work… sadly many of us take it for granted.
    • You must vow to celebrate your differences, otherwise they will drive a wedge in the relationship.
    • You must vow to have the right priorities… God is the ONE and you spouse is the TWO.  If you get that out of order you will have problems.
  • Yes I said that I use a loofah when I shower… I am secure in my masculinity 😉
  • The Rhodie’s set a new record setting up the stage today… less that thirty minutes.  Awesome job.
  • I really hope Iron Man is a great movie.  It made for a hectic morning of tear-down because the Theater opened early for it.  Thanks for everyone’s hard work and flexibility.
  • I challenged everyone to commit to be at Lifesong the next four weeks as we go through this series… lets see who is taking the vow of priority.
  • I also asked everyone to commit to seven days of prayer for their marriages.  I will be posting prayer points this week on the blog to keep you on track.
  • Today’s prayer point…
    • Matthew 6:33 says,  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. God, we pray that you’d be first in every area of our lives. Please show us what that looks like and we can make you our #1 on a daily basis.
